For your consideration is a Vintage William Spratling Mexico .980 Silver Quetzalcoatl (Feathered Serpent) Medallion Pendant Necklace in very good pre-owned condition. This medallion by William Spratling of Taxco, Mexico features a depiction of Quetzalcoatl and is hand crafted in fine .980 silver and exhibits a natural patina. The piece bears The William Spratling makers mark (Spratling Silver) encased in a oval cartouche used from 1940 till 1944 and the Taxco Mark (Made in Mexico Raised Lettering WS Incised Lettering ) in a circular cartouche that was used in 1942. The medallion exhibits average wear. A hand made piece will show signs of inconsistency, not to be confused with damage. A vintage sterling silver Italian made textured round link chain will be included.
