Pair Antique Burmese Fine Silver Repousse Footed Incense Burners Offering Bowls

Product Description

For your consideration is a pair of Antique Burmese Fine Silver Repousse Footed Incense Burners/Offering Bowls in excellent condition. Dating to around the late 19th century and featuring traditional Burmese floral motifs that have been intricately hand chased using the repoussé technique with footed bases, these incense bowls were used for offerings during prayer in the Buddhist religion. The condition report for these burners is excellent with a minimal light patina and no damage or major surface wear. Both pieces have hand inscribed numbers at the bottom. These burners were tested with an XRF gun and are comprised of approximately 96% silver and 4% copper. The burners measure approximately 6 inches in circumference and 1.5 inches in height.
