A 1798 (Philadelphia Struck) $1 Large Eagle, Pointed 9, Close Date, Bolender-30, Bowers-Borckardt-116, Die State II Draped Bust Silver Dollar graded Very Fine 30 (VF-30) by PCGS. This piece displays an original gun metal grey silver color/tone, very nice surfaces with minimal marks and very nice visible details. A scarce and sought after variety, BB-116 displays pleasant visible die cracks on both the obverse and reverse. Die State II shows a die crack that starts at the right end tip of the 'T' in UNITED and has extended through the 'ED' and through the eagle's right wing.
