A Series Of 1886 $20 Large Size Silver Certificate with the Large Brown Seal Fr#315 with signatures Rosecrans & Huston and Serial # B1296858 graded Choice Fine 15 with annotations for Edge Restoration, Minor Design Redrawn and Minor Discoloration by PCGS Banknotes. This note displays an off white paper color with some light browning typical of the grade, heavy visible creases/folds and slightly uneven reverse margins. Large size silver certificates were a form of paper currency produced from 1878 - 1923 (Small Size until 1964) and were issued as a type of representative money. Initially made in response to the Fourth Coinage Act which placed the United States under the gold standard, the bills were meant to be redeemed for their face value in silver coin and later from June 1967 - June 1968 in raw silver bullion.
