This 1902-1912 commemorative silver medal struck in pure .999 fine silver commemorates the rebuilding of Saint Marks Campanile in Venice, Italy. After it's collapse in 1902, the next decade was rebuilding Saint Marks Campanile which was first erected between 1147 - 1158. Designed by medalist Stefano Johnson, Johnson's work is best known for his designs for army medals/medallions and commemorative medals and plaques. This medal weighs 12.8 grams and comes with an original piece of purple string. Two small blemishes can be seen on the surfaces, however the design is strong and displays very little to no wear.
