Product Description
This listing is for ONE 2016 Chinese Silver Panda (30 g) 10 Yuan graded MS-69 Early Releases by NGC in a special edition red core holder. The photos provided are stock photos and represent the same product you will receive, not the exact coin pictured.
The Chinese Silver Panda has been a staple in the precious metal market since its release in 1983. Each year depicts a variation of China’s beloved panda which appears on the reverse of the coin. Accompanying the pandas portrait, the face value of 10 Yuan, metal content, purity and weight appear on the reverse. The obverse remains the same, depicting the Temple of Heaven located in heart of China’s capital, Beijing. An inscription in Chinese characters above translates in English to ‘People’s Republic of China’, while the date of issue appears in the bottom center field. This year’s 2016 30 gram Chinese Silver Panda has implemented the metric system, replacing the 1 oz. unit of measurement used in past. The purity of .999 has remained the same, however the total aggregate weight was reduced to .9646 troy oz. Bullion collectors will note the Silver Panda now comes in sheets of 15 and boxes of 510, whereas previously they were packaged in sheets of 30 and boxes of 600, respectively. The maximum mintage set for 2016: 8 Million
