A 1705 - 1713 Mexican 4 Escudos gold piece 'Date Off Flan' KM-55.1 (weighs 13.5 grams) graded MS-63 by NGC. This piece displays excellent well struck visible details and an original gold color/luster. Strike is off center resulting in the date off the flan of the coin, otherwise referred to as the planchet. The NGC census records a total of 10 graded pieces of this variety, 6 of which are graded MS-63 and only one graded higher in MS-64.
