This listing is for ONE roll of 20 pieces $10 face value 1925 (Philadelphia Mint) Stone Mountain commemorative silver half dollars in average circulated condition.  The total mintage for this commemorative half dollar: 1,314,709.  All coins will be packaged in our own branded plastic tube. The Stone Mountain commemorative half dollar was a silver half dollar minted in 1925. Designed by Gutzon Borglum, his depiction of Generals Robert E Lee & Thomas Jonathan "Stone Wall" Jackson mounted on horses located on the obverse. The reverse features a proud eagle perched on a mountain top and a legend that states " Memorial to the Valor of the Soldier of the South". These coins were produced in order to raise capital to fund the creation of the stone mountain Confederate memorial located in Georgia. Pieces display no mintmark do to the fact that they were all struck at the Philadelphia mint. Stone Mountain commemorative half dollars were struck with the same parameters throughout its mintage, consisting of .900 silver, .100 copper, a net weight of .36169 oz. pure silver and a total weight of 12.50 grams. Also features a reeded edge and 30.60 mm diameter.
