Pair Antique Burmese Fine Silver Repousse Animal Plant Footed Incense Burners

Product Description

For your consideration is a pair of Antique Burmese Fine Silver Repousse Animal & Plant Design Footed Incense Burners/Offering Bowls in excellent condition. Dating to around the late 19th century and featuring traditional Burmese animal & plant themed artwork that have been intricately hand chased using the repoussé technique with footed bases, these incense bowls were used for offerings during prayer in the Buddhist religion. The condition report for these burners is excellent with an original burnished finish and no damage or major surface wear. One piece has the number 242 at the bottom. These burners were tested with an XRF gun and are comprised of approximately 93% silver and 7% copper. The burners measure approximately 6.75 inches in circumference and 1.25 inches in height.
