For your consideration is an Antique American Civil War/Victorian Era 1860's Gale & Willis New York Sterling Silver Salad Serving Tongs in very good to excellent pre-owned condition. These serving tongs by New York silversmithing firm Gale & Willis (1859 - 1862) features ornate chicken foot/talon claws and beautiful hand chased floral and vine motifs crafted in fine sterling silver. The tongs show off their original polished finish with some light surface wear and marks, monogram 'P' located at the top of the tongs and no major cosmetic issues.
